Hannah was born in September 1781 in Austonley and her baptism took place on September 16th, 1781 in Almondbury.1  Hannah's father was James Crosland and her mother was <Unknown>. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Jonathan, Joseph, John, Lydia and Betty.  She was the sixth oldest of the seven known children.
