Hanah was born in 1763 at DeadManStone and her baptism took place on March 16th, 1763 in Almondbury.1  Hanah's father was Mr James Crosland and her mother was Ellen Batty. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Daniel, James, Joshua, Ellen and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the six children.
