James was born on March 24th, 1734 in Huddersfield and his baptism took place on December 29th, 1734 at St. Peter (Huddersfield).1  He died at the age of 70 in March 1804 at DeadManStone.  He was buried on March 24th, 1804 in Almondbury.1 1

‌James and Ellen were married in a religious ceremony on February 27th, 1760 in Almondbury by Vicar Edward Rishton and witnessed by W Thompson & Fran's Murgatroyd.1  They had three sons and three daughters, named Daniel, James, Joshua, Hanah, Ellen and Mary.  There are no more children.
