Elizabeth's father was Edward Crosland and her mother was Mary (Mercy) Beaumont.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward Crosland and Hannah Mason. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Beaumont, Edna, Joseph, Edward, Mary and Hannah.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 59 on October 8th, 1873 in Lindley.
