Susannah was born on June 12th, 1885 in Birkenhead and her baptism took place there on November 11th, 1885.¹²

Susannah's father was John Cotton Cole and her mother was Ellen Stuart. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Robert, William, Thomas, Alice, Mary, Barbra, Florence and Edith. She was the oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 62 in 1947 in Birkenhead.
