Sarah was born on February 12th, 1826 in Waterhead Mill and her baptism took place on April 20th, 1826 at Greenacres Chapel (Independant).¹

Birth Notes

Sarah's father was George Buckley and her mother was Sally Andrew. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Buckley and Mary Schofield. She had five brothers and three sisters, named George, Samuel, John, George, Robert, Mary, Sarah and Ann. She was the second youngest of the nine children.
