George was born in June 1806 in Oldham. George's father was George Buckley and his mother was Sally Andrew.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Buckley and Mary Schofield. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, John, George, Robert, Mary, Sarah, Sarah and Ann.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at 2 months old in August 1806 in Delph.  He was buried on August 5th, 1806 at Greenacres Chapel (Independant).1
