Mary was born on November 25th, 1814 in Ashton-under-Lyne and her baptism took place on December 25th, 1814 at Greenacres Chapel (Independant).¹

Birth Notes

Mary's father was George Buckley and her mother was Sally Andrew. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Buckley and Mary Schofield. She had five brothers and three sisters, named George, Samuel, John, George, Robert, Sarah, Sarah and Ann. She was the third oldest of the nine children.
