Beatrice Joan Buckley

Beatrice was born on June 6th, 1923 in Ashton-under-Lyne.¹

Beatrice's father was Ernest Buckley and her mother was Beatrice Martin. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Buckley and Ann Hallsworth. She was an only child. She died at the age of 83 on February 4th, 2007 in Sheffield.²

- Beatrice Joan was known as Joan.
  
  In 1948, Joan flew from LanIcashire to marry Gerry at Calcutta. Gerry was at that time an assistant with Andrew Yules', on Choonabutti Tea Estate in the Dooars.
  
  In 1959, Gerald W W and Beatrice Joan Halnan departed Southampton for India. Dates of birth are recorded. At the time they were living at 110 Overcliffe Drive, Shoutbourne, Hants. They were also intending to be living in India.
