William Brook

  William Son of Jonathan & Betty Brook in the township of Thurstonland and Parish of Kirkburton in the county of York. Today there is a small group of houses "Whitestones", on Stocks Moor Road, which is probably where he was born.

William's father was Jonathan Brook and his mother was Betty Moorhouse. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Isaac, Jonadab, Thomas, Harriet and Ruth. He was the sixth oldest of the seven children.
