William John Briggs

William was born in June 1852 in Wooburn and his baptism took place in Bucks.  William's father was William Henry Briggs and his mother was Ann Harman.  His paternal grandparents were William Briggs and Hannah M Briggs; his maternal grandparents were James Harman and Ann Simmonds. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Frederick, Arthur, Joseph, James, Albert, Mary and Jesse.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 38 in December 1890 in Prescot.¹
