Ann's father was Francis Simmonds, a Wheelright, from Oakley Green, Berkshire. I can find no marriage for her, so perhaps she was a widow before she married James.
Francis was still alive in 1841, 75, a Blacksmith at Park Lane, Tilehurst, Berks.
Ann and James were married in a religious ceremony in 1824. They had four sons and three daughters, named Joseph, George, James, John, Ann, Mary and Caroline. There are no more children.
