William Brereton

William's father was Thomas Brereton and his mother was Mary Hughes. His paternal grandparents were <unknown> and Elizabeth Bruerton; his maternal grandparents were William Hughes and Sylvia Hunt. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Edward, George, Caleb, Thomas, Mary and Emma. George and William were twins. He died at the age of 86 in 1938.

- George and William were twins. They borh married "Cornish" girls (not sisters). George married Rebecca and William married Sarah Jane Cornish. However, their sister Mary Brereton married William John Cornish, Rebecca's brother.
