Margaret was born in 1674 in Acton by Nantwich and her christening took place there on November 5th, 1674.1 2  Margaret's father was Richard Brereton and her mother was Elizabeth Kendricke.  Her paternal grandparents were John Brereton and Anne Gardener; her maternal grandparents were Richard Kendricke and Elizabeth Webenham. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Richard, John, William, Thomas, Randle or Ralph, Thomas, Elizabeth and Anna.

‌Margaret and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on October 3rd, 1697 in Acton by Nantwich.3  The family line is yet to be completed.
