James was born in 1818 in Hurleston and his baptism took place on May 2nd, 1826 in Acton by Nantwich.¹

Birth Notes

James' father was Randle Brereton and his mother was Elizabeth Sadler. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Brereton and Hannah Vicars. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named George, Joseph, James, Ann, Hannah, Sarah, Ann, Martha, Mary and Jane. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died in September 1818 in Acton by Nantwich. He was buried on September 6th, 1818 in Acton by Nantwich.²
