Elizabeth was born in 1843 in Odd Rode and her baptism took place in Church Lawton.¹

Birth Notes

Elizabeth's father was George Brereton and her mother was Mary Keen. Her paternal grandparents were George Brereton and Mary Jackson. She had three brothers and two sisters, named William, John, George, Emma and Mary. She was the youngest of the six children.
