Catherine was born in 1814 in Breightmet and her baptism took place on November 6th, 1814 in Bridge Street Chapel (Methodist).¹

Birth Notes

Catherine's father was Thomas Booth and her mother was Alice Scowcroft. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Booth and Catherine Whalley. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, William, Martha, Mary and Margaret. She was the third oldest of the six children.
