Esther was born in 1762 in Bolton and her baptism took place on February 4th, 1762 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Esther's father was Robert Bolton Esq and her mother was Esther Nield. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Isaac, Catherine, Mary and Dorothy.  She was the third youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 79 in 1841.
