George Ankers

George was born in 1830 in Tarvin.¹

George's father was William Ankers and his mother was Mary Hopley. His maternal grandparents were Joseph Hopley and Elizabeth (Betty) Perry. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Samuel, John, Thomas, Emma, David, Sarah and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the nine children.
