Thomas was born in April 1775 in Halliwell and his baptism took place on April 16th, 1775 at St. Mary (Deane).¹

Thomas' father was Richard Allen and his mother was Rachel Knowles. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, Mathew, William and Betty.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 1 in April 1776 in Halliwell.  He was buried on April 25th, 1776 at St. Mary (Deane).¹
