11 Oct 1774, Richard Allen (or Allens) and Rachel Knowles were married at St Mary's, Deane.
From 1775 to after 1782, Richard and Rachel lived in Halliwell, where all their children were born (and baptised at Deane).
In 1812, wife Rachel Alled died at Little Bolton. Son Thomas also lived at Little Bolton.

Richard and Rachel were married in a religious ceremony on October 11th, 1774 at St. Mary (Deane) by Vicar Thomas Withnell and witnessed by Richard Bradley & James Lomax.1 They had five sons and a daughter, named Thomas, John, Thomas, Mathew, William and Betty. There are no more children.
