Victoria was born on October 30th, 1883.  Victoria's father was Jan Thomas Martens and her mother was Susannah Engela Vermaak.  Her paternal grandparents were Cornelius (Basheesa) Jacobus Martens and Victoria Liversage. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Cornelius, Jacobus, Thomas, Christiaan, Susanna (San), Johanna, Harriet , Maria and Anna. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Johannes and Regina.  She died at the age of 75 on July 18th, 1959.
