Jan Thomas Martens

Jan was born on September 28th, 1800. Jan 's father is Jacobus Martens and his mother is Maria Magdalena Joubert. His paternal grandparents are Joachim Hendrik (Heinrich) Martens and Jacomina van den Berg. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Jacobus, Joshua, Jacobus, Hendrik, Nicolaas, Maria, Jacomina, Anna and Johanna. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 76 on February 20th, 1877.
