Jacomina was born on April 13th, 1794.  Jacomina's father is Jacobus Martens and her mother is Maria Magdalena Joubert.  Her paternal grandparents are Joachim Hendrik (Heinrich) Martens and Jacomina van den Berg. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Jacobus, Joshua, Jacobus, Jan , Hendrik, Nicolaas, Maria, Anna  and Johanna.  She was the third oldest of the ten children.  Jacomina is no longer alive.
