Anna  was born in 1808.  Anna 's father is Jacobus Martens and her mother is Maria Magdalena Joubert.  Her paternal grandparents are Joachim Hendrik (Heinrich) Martens and Jacomina van den Berg. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Jacobus, Joshua, Jacobus, Jan , Hendrik, Nicolaas, Maria, Jacomina and Johanna.  She was the second youngest of the ten children.  Anna  is no longer alive.
