Orcutt Reed Ward 
Orcutt was born on December 23rd, 1828 in Wayne, Ashtabula County, Ohio.1 Orcutt's father was Linus Sylvester Ward and his mother was Eliza Coleman. His maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Coleman and Submit Giddings. He had two brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Dar, Calvin, Emily, Sarepta, Sabra, Flora and *INFANT*. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 50 on March 22nd, 1879 in Wayne, Ashtabula County, Ohio. He was buried at the Hayes Cemetery, Wayne Township, Ohio.1 1 General Notes
After the death of Eliza, the surviving children sold property that was formerly owned by their father Sylvester. On 2 May 1872, Orcutt Reed Ward purchased 75 acres in lots 79 & 80 also the land in lots 68 & 69 from his surviving brother, sisters, and their spouse. Signing the deed vere; Homer J. Bates & Sarepta E. Bates; James E. Allen & Flora M. Allen; Darwin E. Ward & Lucy O. Ward. Linus: Much of the Sylvester Ward line comes from, "History of Ashtabula County, Ohio" by the Williams Brothers published in 1878.
The continuation of this Orcutt Reed Ward line comes from his Great Grandson, Orcutt Stanley Ward, 1218 Regent Dr., Mundelein, IL 60060
