Linus Sylvester Ward 
Linus was born in 1797. He died at the age of 69 on August 21st, 1866 in Wayne, Ashtabula County, Ohio. He was buried at the Hayes Cemetery, Wayne Township, Ohio.1 1 General Notes
After the death of Eliza, the surviving children sold property that was formerly owned by their father Sylvester. On 2 May 1872, Orcutt Reed Ward purchased 75 acres in lots 79 & 80 also the land in lots 68 & 69 from his surviving brother, sisters, and their spouse. Signing the deed vere; Homer J. Bates & Sarepta E. Bates; James E. Allen & Flora M. Allen; Darwin E. Ward & Lucy O. Ward. Linus: Much of the Sylvester Ward line comes from, "History of Ashtabula County, Ohio" by the Williams Brothers published in 1878.
