Eliza Coleman 
Eliza was born on May 28th, 1807 in Wayne, Ashtabula County, Ohio.1 Eliza's father was Nathaniel Coleman and her mother was Submit Giddings. Her maternal grandparents were Joshua Giddings and Submit Jones. She was an only child. She died at the age of 64 on February 22nd, 1872 in Wayne, Ashtabula County, Ohio. She was buried at the Hayes Cemetery, Wayne Township, Ohio.1 1 General Notes
After the death of Eliza, the surviving children sold property that was formerly owned by their father Sylvester. On 2 May 1872, Orcutt Reed Ward purchased 75 acres in lots 79 & 80 also the land in lots 68 & 69 from his surviving brother, sisters, and their spouse. Signing the deed vere; Homer J. Bates & Sarepta E. Bates; James E. Allen & Flora M. Allen; Darwin E. Ward & Lucy O. Ward. Linus: Much of the Sylvester Ward line comes from, "History of Ashtabula County, Ohio" by the Williams Brothers published in 1878.
