John Giddings 
John was born on November 9th, 1757 in Hartland, Hartford County, Connecticut and his baptism took place on July 23rd, 1769 at Hartland First Congregational Church, Hartland, Connecticut.1 John's father was Joshua Giddings and his mother was Jane Reed. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Giddings and Sarah Andrews. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Elisha, Benjamin, Joshua, Niles, Chloe, Sarah, Ruth, Jane and Deborah. He died at the age of 76 on March 2nd, 1834.1 General Notes
