Benjamin Giddings 
Benjamin was born in 1753 in Lyme, New London County, Connecticut and his baptism took place on July 23rd, 1769 at Hartland First Congregational Church, Hartland, Connecticut.1 Benjamin's father was Joshua Giddings and his mother was Jane Reed. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Giddings and Sarah Andrews. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Elisha, Joshua, John, Niles, Chloe, Sarah, Ruth, Jane and Deborah. He died at the age of 77 in 1830 in Hartland, Hartford County, Connecticut.1 General Notes
