Michael  was born on November 21st, 1580 in Antwerp.1   His godfather was Broers Michael and his godmother was Joanna Leys.  Michael 's father was Adriaen BROERS  and his mother was  Maria Van de Poter (Maeyken).  His paternal grandparents were Joannes  BROERS  and Elisabeth Van Haecht . He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joannes , Adrianus , Nicolaus , Elisabeth , Sara  and Elisabeth .  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
