Patsy was born in 1781.  Patsy's father was John Sr. Jackson and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Hodges.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Jackson Sr. and Ann Jarvis.  She was the eleventh of twelve children.  She had three brothers and eight sisters, named John Jackson, Joseph Joe, James, Agnes, Susanna, Mary, Jeannie, Ann, Elizabeth, Nancy and Martha.
