Martha was born in 1780.  Martha's father was John Sr. Jackson and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Hodges.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Jackson Sr. and Ann Jarvis.  She was the tenth of twelve children.  She had three brothers and eight sisters, named John Jackson, Joseph Joe, James, Agnes, Susanna, Mary, Jeannie, Ann, Elizabeth, Nancy and Patsy.  She died at the age of 63 in 1843.
