Nancy was born in 1772.  Nancy's father was John Sr. Jackson and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Hodges.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Jackson Sr. and Ann Jarvis.  She was the nineth of twelve children.  She had three brothers and eight sisters, named John Jackson, Joseph Joe, James, Agnes, Susanna, Mary, Jeannie, Ann, Elizabeth, Martha and Patsy.
