George was born in 1700 in East Leake, Nottinghamshire, , England.  George's father was Thomas Dexter and his mother was Anne Bexon.  His maternal grandparents were Richard Bexon and Ann. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Robert, Joseph, Ann, Mary, Sara, Elizabeth and Susana.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 83 on September 14th, 1783 in East Leake, Nottinghamshire, , England.
