Hazel May WITNEY 
Hazel was born in 1905 in Bendigo, VIC.1 Hazel's father was Arthur John WITNEY and her mother was Elizabeth Baird WHITELAW. Her paternal grandparents were Arthur Beniah WITNEY and Isabella Ann BARTON; her maternal grandparents were James Alexander WHITELAW and Grace Sommerville BAIRD. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Arthur, William, Albert, Edward, Clarice, Ellen, Mary and Grace. She was the second oldest of the nine children.-
