Arthur Beniah WITNEY 
Arthur was born in 1904 in Fosterville, VIC.1 Arthur's father was Arthur John WITNEY and his mother was Elizabeth Baird WHITELAW. His paternal grandparents were Arthur Beniah WITNEY and Isabella Ann BARTON; his maternal grandparents were James Alexander WHITELAW and Grace Sommerville BAIRD. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William, Albert, Edward, Hazel, Clarice, Ellen, Mary and Grace. He was the oldest of the nine children.-
