John ROWLAND 
John was born on September 12th, 1885 in Oaklands, SA.1 John's father was John Thomas ROWLAND and his mother was Rebecca POINTON. His maternal grandparents were James POINTON and Peggy POLKINGHORNE. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Ralph, Roy, Edgar, Gertrude, Rosetta, May and Beatrice. He was the second oldest of the eight known children.
