Gertrude ROWLAND 
Gertrude was born on December 5th, 1884 in Aldinga, SA.1 Gertrude's father was John Thomas ROWLAND and her mother was Rebecca POINTON. Her maternal grandparents were James POINTON and Peggy POLKINGHORNE. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Ralph, Roy, Edgar, Rosetta, May and Beatrice. She was the oldest of the eight known children.
