Richard JOWSEY 
Richard was born on August 5th, 1839 in Wykeham, North Yorkshire, England and his christening took place there on August 9th, 1839.1 2 Richard's father was John JOWSEY and his mother was Ann ROBINSON. His paternal grandparents were Richard JOWSEY and Mary BAKER; his maternal grandparents were Thomas ROBINSON and Ann CROSS. He had four brothers and five sisters, named William, Thomas, John, Robert, Elizabeth, Sarah, Jane, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 34 on September 15th, 1873 in Shreveport, Louisanna, USA.1 General Notes
