George OADES 
George was born in 1861 in Plymouth, Devon, England.1 George's father was Richard Worden OADES and his mother was Maria Charlotte LANGMAN. His paternal grandparents were George OADES and Alice WORDEN; his maternal grandparents were Joseph LANGMAN and Ann NORTHMORE. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William John, Ernest Edward, Alice Ann Langman and Jane. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 80 on March 31st, 1941 in Plymouth, Devon, England. He was buried in April 1941 in Ford Park, Plymouth, Devon, England.1 1 General Notes

George Oades was born 1861in Plymouth, Devon and was the son of Richard Worden Oades and Maria Charlotte Langman. On the 1901 census he was listed as being a boiler maker (possibly in the Dockyard) and was still a single man. It is known that he did marry although no record of the marriage has been found. His wife was called Margaret and it can only be guessed that they were married about 1905? There were no children. Margaret died in 1920 aged only 46. George died 31 March 1941. The couple are buried in the same grave at Ford Park Cemetery, Plymouth.
