Unfortunately very little is known about Joseph Langman. According to the 1851 census he was born about 1796 at Tamerton Foliot but all efforts have failed to find a baptism for him. All that can be said of him is that he married Ann Northmore 10 Jan 1823 at Buckland Monochorum, Devon. They had five children, Joseph (b 1826 died 1832), Maria Charlotte (b1829). Mary Ann Northmore (b1831), Barbara Northmore (b1834) and Elizabeth (b1840) Joseph was an agricultural labourer by trade. He died about 1860 at Buckland Monochorum.
Joseph and Ann were married in a religious ceremony on January 10th, 1823 in Buckland Mon., Devon, England.1 They had a son and four daughters, named Joseph, Barbara Northmore, Elizabeth, Maria Charlotte and Mary Ann Northmore.
