James Thomson

James was born about 1854 in Govan, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

James' father was William Thomson and his mother was Marion Dickson Clarkson. His paternal grandparents were William Robertson Thomson and Elizabeth Sneddon. He had four brothers and a sister, named William, David, John, Benjamin and Marion. He was the second oldest of the six children.
