Mary Tait Sligh 
Mary was born on December 8th, 1830 in Ayton, Berwickshire, Scotland and her baptism took place there on February 13th, 1831. Mary's father was Robert Sligh and her mother was Elizabeth Bogue Cleghorn. Her paternal grandparents were James Sligh and Mary Tait. She had four brothers and a sister, named James, Robert, John, George and Jane. She was the second youngest of the six children.-
