John Sligh 
John was born on January 13th, 1829 in Ayton, Berwickshire, Scotland and his baptism took place there about 1829. John's father was Robert Sligh and his mother was Elizabeth Bogue Cleghorn. His paternal grandparents were James Sligh and Mary Tait. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James, Robert, George, Jane and Mary. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 84 in 1913 in Ohio, USA.-
