James Nicholas Ross 
James Nicholas was born on August 8th, 1860 in Out Rawcliffe, Lancashire, England. James Nicholas' father was Thomas Ross and his mother was Ann Singleton. His paternal grandparents were William Ross and Jane Robinson; his maternal grandparents were John Singleton and Margaret (Peggy) Seed. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named William, John, Tom, George, Bob, Ellen, Reuben, Arthur, Margaret, Jane Elizabeth, Mary Ann and Alice. He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 43 on June 13th, 1904 in Out Rawcliffe, Lancashire, England.-
