George was born in 1785 in Midsomer Norton, Somerset, England and his baptism took place there on December 8th, 1785.  George's father was Thomas Parsons and his mother was Betty Harris.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Parsons and Sarah Unknown; his maternal grandparents were George Harris and Ann Unknown. He had six brothers and three sisters, named George, William, John, John, Henry, Thomas, Elizabeth, Ann and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother named Thomas.  He died at the age of 44 in November 1829 in Midsomer Norton, Somerset, England.  He was buried on November 12th, 1829 in Midsomer Norton, Somerset, England.
