George Alex Muir 
George Alex was born on December 5th, 1818 in Fordel Colliery, Dalgetty, Fife, Scotland. George Alex's father was David G Muir and his mother was Janet Beveridge. His maternal grandparents were George Beveridge and Janet Muir. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Walter, John, Janet, Christian, Jane, Grissel, Dorothy and Agnes. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 69 on July 9th, 1888 in Bolivar, Westmoreland, PA.-
