Margaret was born on March 19th, 1787 in Markinch, Fife, Scotland. Margaret's father was George Low and her mother was Christian Russell. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Low and Margaret Bouer; her maternal grandparents were John Russell and Catherine Dryburgh . She had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, George, Robert, George, Agnes, Magdalene, Christian and Margaret. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Andrew, George, Helen, Mary and Janet. She died at the age of 7 in 1794 in Markinch, Fife, Scotland.-
