George's father was George Low and his mother was Helen Bell (Smith ?).  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Low and Margaret Bouer. He had a brother and three sisters, named Andrew, Helen, Mary and Janet. He had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Thomas, George, Robert, George, Margaret, Agnes, Magdalene, Christian and Margaret.  He died in 1905.
